    This was dinner last night and it was so good and came together pretty quickly. The Asiago cheese and Panko bread crumbs makes the most delicious crust around a nice juicy pork chop. Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) has been sending us this really interesting Romanesco Broccoli. (more…)

    Lemon Pound Cake

    Well, the San Diego Blogger Bake Sale was a HUGE success! With over 40 bakers, a great turn out and supportive family and friends the bake sale raised $3034 to be sent to Share Our Strength!! So awesome. We are proud.

    It was a lot of fun meeting the other bakers and seeing their gorgeous food and displays. There were a lot of samples and let me tell you, these people can bake! (more…)


  3. Garlic Salmon with Tomato Basil Relish

    We had a couple warmer days this week and I’m starting to feel the excitement of summer coming. I can’t believe there are only two and a half more months of school and we are already signing up for summer camps! I’m really looking forward to BBQ’s, beach days with friends, enjoying warm weather and eating outside on our patio. So, how does this relate to salmon? When I think about warm weather I think about summer, then I think of the beach and the ocean and there are fish in the ocean of course. Ok, I hard a time tying this one together. Anyway… (more…)

    This is such a wonderful pasta dish.  We love crab and the lemon makes it nice and light tasting.  Personally, I like a little spice so the chiles were the perfect amount of heat and the combination of the mint, lemon and crab along with it made my tastes buds happy. (more…)


  5. Broiled Stuffed Lobster

    Stuffed Lobster

    Mr. YUM and I have always had a tradition on Valentine’s Day.  We avoid the crowds and inflated prices and make something special for dinner at home.  We do it together and it’s always fun and delicious. This year we made it extra special and had a family Valentine’s Day dinner.  The kiddos really enjoy lobster and we had kid champagne (apple cider) for them and the real stuff for us.  I’m not one for eating the tomalley but the breadcrumbs and herbs made a delicious stuffing for these beautiful puppies, I just tried not to think about the tomalley.  The freshness of all the parsley was wonderful and kept it nice and light.
